Considered as one of the easy treks in India, Roopkund in Uttarakhand is a trek The trek begins from Lohajung at an altitude of 3200 m and takes you to the beautiful lake Roopkund. The lake, which is at an altitude of 5029 m, is noted for the remains of human skeletons that were found at its bottom.

Dongri trek, Sikkim
One of the lesser-known but exceptionally gorgeous treks in northeast India is the Dongri Trek in Sikkim. The trek begins from Yuksom and covers a distance of 21 km. The Himalayan sights are simply breathtaking including Dzongri La peak and Mt. Kanchendzonga.

For beginners wanting to start trekking, Hampta Pass is a perfect option in Himachal Pradesh. The trek begins from Hampta village in Kullu and finishes at Chatru in the Lahaul & Spiti Valley. It takes around 4 to 5 days to cover the 35 km and it’s completely worth it!
