Located just north of Trg Bana Jelačića, the Dolac Market is a buzzing central market. The farmers and traders from nearby towns and villages come to this market to sell their produce almost daily. Established in 1930, the market features open stall on the street as well as covered market on the side. The Dolac Market is the central market for citizens of Zagreb who visit the market for daily needs like vegetable, fruits, meat, fish, flowers, dairy products and groceries. The colourful market is a visual delight for tourists. The market opens at 7 am and lasts till afternoon. The best time to visit the market is during the morning when you spot well laid-out stalls awaiting for clientele. The street side eateries and little bars offering gableci, a light lunch, is a great way to end the tour of the Dolac Market. You can also stock up on edible souvenirs from here to take back home. Do not forget to check out the bronze statue of a market woman at the Dolac Market.
