At what age exactly does one outgrow swings and slides? A visit to children’s park in the heart of the city-in the India Gate lawns-and you might not be able to find an easy answer to that question. An expansive garden with a variety of swings, play gyms, climbing frames, to name a few, this park is ideal for spending a cool Sunday afternoon just before the entire family heads out to drive past India Gate and down Rajpath at night to check out the dazzle of city lights. Hawkers are available aplenty with pop corns, ice-creams, burgers and various knick knacks so even if this is a last minute plan and you have not had a chance to stock up on munchies, the kids will have enough to keep their hunger abay. You can also buy your kids some pet fish from the shop that is located within the premises, just off the parking lot entrance. A word of advice: Carry a change for the kids since some of the swings are surrounded by loose mud and it is rare that either kids or clothes remain clean.
