Folks travelling to and from Tamil Nadu by Shatabdi Express now have a reason to cheer. Shatabdi Express that is running on Chennai Central-Coimbatore-Chennai Central route will now have a new high-end coach named, “Anubhuti coach.” The coach shall be added from January 26, 2018.The news that was released by the Salem Division of Southern Railway states that Shatabdi Train No. 12243/12333 will get the augmented coach for trial of three months. You can book the coach already, as advance reservation is now open for it. Currently, it has been stated that the fare for the new augmented Anubhuti coach has been fixed at 1.2 times of the Executive Class fare for Shatabdi Express. Then there are other charges, such as GST, which will be levied on the fare. So the total fare as per calculations currently stands at 2,210 INR, which includes GST and other charges.

The Anubhuti coach has improved interiors, and seats that have been designed ergonomically. It also includes modular toilets and hands-free taps.
