Located on the southern coast of the Nusa Penida Island, along the edges of remote cliffs, there is Manta Point. Here, the sea is quite shallow, but it is rather cold and apparently can have a strong surge. Visibility is not always great (between 10 and 30 m) due to the plankton that attracts groups of mantas. On the other hand, this is a great spot to observe manta rays circling about in depths that can range from 18 m deep up to the surface. While the coral reef is quite alluring, the site is also home to a good variety of tropical reef fish and it is easy to spot oceanic sun fish and nurse sharks. Sometimes blue spotted stingrays can also be seen. The current is slight, but the dive is difficult because of the swell that can be strong due to the signature gigantic waves of the Indian Ocean.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
