Bali is probably one of the most sought-after island destinations in the world! The place is quite a range among water sports lovers who enjoy scuba diving and snorkelling. The place is brimming with interesting diving options such as Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Penida and Padang Bai, to name a few.
Here we have collated a list of some of the best diving spots in Bali:
Seraya Secrets, Tulamben
Seraya Secrets is an absolute delight for divers and photographers. This is the best place for spotting sea slugs (donut) and the gorgeous harlequin shrimp. One might also spot frogfish, leopard and moray eels.
Manta Point, Nuda Penida
Those interested in manta rays, this is the best spot in Bali. The dive is easy here as the water is shallow. One can easily see a number of manta rays in 5 m deep water. The spot is accessible for snorkelers as well.
Mangrove, Nusa Lembongan
For those who enjoy powerful dives, Mangrove region in Nusa Lembongan is the best place. Experienced divers from all over the world make sure to visit the place.
Mandarin Point, Pemuteran
This place is perfect for a sunset dive. It gets quite romantic here and one can spot colourful fish in the ocean. The mandarin fish in the ocean life as couples for life.
Liberty shipwreck, Tulamben
This was basically an American cargo ship that was sunk here during WWII. But today, this is one of the most prominent and accessible shipwreck diving sites in the world. It’s a perfect diving spot for visitors as its shallowest point begins at 5 m deep.
Crystal Bay, Nusa Penida
This is the place where you can spot oceanic sunfish (mola-mola) when the temperature is favourable between July and September. The place is quite popular among divers and as the water here remains colder than any other spots in Bali, a 5 mm wetsuit is recommended.
