This museum has been named after the world-renowned 20th-century Greek artist, Spyros Vassiliou. The man was a famous painter, printmaker, illustrator, and stage designer. Situated within the home and studio of Vassiliou, the place exhibits his huge archive of artworks created by him over the years. Some of the most prominent exhibits of this place include his celebrated paintings that depict urban Athens and some famous theatre sets designed and created by him. The place also houses and exhibits the tools used by Vassiliou while creating his famous artworks. Apart from that, there are illustrations, illustrations from literary journals and newspapers used by him while designing sets as well. Temporary exhibitions are also held here from time to time.
