Trinidad with its lively music scene, welcoming locals, magical old-world charm and fascinating history will simply charm visitors. Known as one of the world’s best ‘outdoor museums’, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is teeming with things to see and do. It is here where one can really taste, smell and hear authentic Cuban culture. Located in Central Cuba, this town is one of the best preserved cities in the Caribbean, from the time when the sugar trade was the main industry. Although many tourists flock here to enjoy this peaceful city, tourism has done little to change the gentle and peaceful ways here. The sounds of horse hooves clopping along the cobbled streets, the yells of old men selling bread and the site of old ladies delicately creating lace garments still fill the streets here. It is here where you can taste the sweet drink of the Cuban liberating army, where you can find handcrafted souvenirs and where you can find people dancing in the street, shaking a tambourine. Discover this magical city and all it has to offer, and don’t miss out on these 10 things to see and do in Trinidad.
