Adventure, food and fun in the Electronic City
Noida is one of the most developed and progressive cities in the state of Uttar Pradesh. With it as Delhi’s next-door neighbour, it is always a convenience to visit from the capital. However, Noida is in itself a place that offers the best of both worlds. Read ahead to know more.
Visit Okhla Bird Sanctuary for bird-watching
The Okhla Bird Sanctuary, also known as Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azaad Sanctuary, is a great place for bird-watchers and wildlife photographers. It is situated on the Okhla Barrage over the Yamuna River. The sanctuary is spread over a massive 400 ha of land, and also marked for a large lake, made by damming the river located between Okhla village (west) and Gautam Budh Nagar (east).
Experience the mall wonder
Noida is home to India’s biggest mall, the Mall of India. It has a lot of reputed brands selling, almost everything under the sun. Ski India, located within the mall, is a hub for indulging in a range of snow adventures such as skiing, slope tobogganing, bobsled, snow sledging, ice skating etc all round the year. The Great India Place Mall and Logix City Centre Mall are also amazing places to shop in Noida.
Drop by for fun at Worlds of Wonder Water and Adventure Park
If you love rides and having fun at a water park with friends, family or significant other, the Worlds of Wonder Water and Adventure Park is the go-to place for you. The park has two areas–the Road Show Zone and La Fiesta. The rides are enthralling and the water park is also a great place to forget the world and be in your own little wonderland.
Sample the street food
Noida is a foodie’s paradise. Sure, there are a plethora of chic restaurants in the city, but when you crave for real street food, head to the Brahmaputra Market situated in Sector 29. The street food scene at the market comes alive in the evening, when vendors selling chaat, biryani, noodles, pav-bhaji, momos etc. get very busy serving plates to their customers.
