The first and only cheese farm in Pune, ABC produces 70 varieties of cheese each year. Established back in 1976 by three families—the Agas, Bhathenas and Chinoys—the cheese farm is today run by the Chinoy family who also have run several multi-cuisine restaurants in the city. Taste and sample from among gorgonzola, mozzarella or try the modified varieties like whiskey and walnut, wine and raisin, coffee or cranberry. Their trademark logo (of a happy cow) is well recognised by locals, and is synonymous with the delicious dairy products (manufactured sans any chemical preservatives) they churn out on a large scale. Visit ABC Cheese Farms and go through a tasting of several varietals of cheese before buying the ones you like best--it's nothing short of a European experience right here in the country.
