The festival has been inaugurated in 2002 with a low profile, and has been growing every year since, with increasing numbers of participants and entertainement space available.
It doesn’t have daily events, but every week the calendar is filled up with a series of memorable concerts: Rolling Stones, the Chemical Brothers, Placebo, Dream Theather, Skung Anansie and many more have all been performing on the stage of Rock in Roma.
Despite the main focus, as the name suggests, is rock music, there are also concerts of pop, electronic music and several other genres.
There are around 200.000 people participating each year, and in some cases tickets are sold out quite quickly, so hurry up with your bookings.
The easiest way to get to Capannelle by public transport is by bus from Anagnina bus terminal, served also by a subway station. Another option is to walk ten minutes from the Capannelle train Station. But consider that normal public services stop at night, so you might need to look for night buses in order to get back to your accommodation.
