Situated between Paton and Kata, the 5-km-long Karon Beach is the third-longest beach in Phuket. Comparatively cleaner and quieter than Paton Beach, this family-friendly beach is dotted with sun beds, umbrellas and small beach bars. It has facilities for water sports such as windsurfing, wake boarding, snorkelling, banana boating and water skiing. Visitors will also find vendors walking across the beach to sell food, jewellery and accessories. The town has three main areas: Karon Centre is packed with restaurants, shops, bars and a Buddhist temple, Karon Beach Road is dominated by resorts, and the Luang Poh Chuan Road has the best restaurants and bars.
