World Cafe Live is a radio show of the National Public Radio that holds concerts and records upandcoming rock, blues, roots, and folk artists. Fridays at noon the concerts are free (although make sure to RSVP) while evening concerts range from $8$25, all ages accepted. Definitely still a hotspot of the intelligentsia, but the kind of intelligentsia who’ve put down their copy of the New Yorker to drink a beer and listen to some folk music.
