It might be a little tricky to find Freemans—there’s no street address; it’s simply located at the end of a sneaky little alley—but if you can make your way there, you’ll find surreal, hunting lodge-inspired decor, a hip scene and the most comforting meals. The food is rustic and rich, with a menu that features lamb stew, beer-braised pork shank and the perennial favourite, three-cheese macaroni.
