The reputation of New York City precedes it: the towering skyscrapers; the constant rush of people on the streets; diverse and cosmopolitan population; lively hubs of art, fashion and performance; eclectic cuisines and dining experiences; and a pulsating nightlife that has made it famous as the city that never sleeps. The Big Apple is home to iconic skyscrapers such as the Empire State Building, mostly designed in the Art Deco style. The Chrysler Building (pictured here) is considered to be among the most beautiful structures in the city. 

Spread across 843 acres, Manhattan’s green oasis offers a pleasant contrast to all the concrete high-rises around it. The park’s verdant green stretches are dotted with picturesque lakes, fountains, ponds, bridges, sculptures, monuments and even a zoo.

This high-end street is NYC's premier shopping stretch and home to some of the world’s most sought-after fashion brands. It is also lined with some stunning architectural landmarks: the Chrysler Building, the Empire State Building and the Rockefeller Centre.

NYC is home to some of the world's largest and most celebrated museums of art, history, cinema, photography and culture. The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum (pictured here) is known both for its architecture and its excellent collection of modern art.

This 19th-century bridge runs over the East River, connecting Lower Manhattan and downtown Brooklyn. Considered to be an engineering marvel, it offers stunning views of the Statue of Liberty and the New York harbour at every step.

New York City is synonymous with food carts dishing out everything from Indian dosas to Greek souvlakis. However, its most iconic street food is undoubtedly the hot dog—a grilled sausage placed between a sliced bun with mustard and sauerkraut—that has come to symbolise the Big Apple’s fast paced life.

It is also brimming with eateries offering ethnic cuisines from places as disparate as Cuba and Turkey, as well as premium restaurants that take fine dining to a new level.
