This pond is the most beautiful and breathtaking site in Kurukshetra city. Visitors love to spend time here watching the sunset with its reddish-golden reflection in water.
On any solar eclipse, millions of people from all over the country come here to take a holy dip in the pond to pray to the Sun God, as it is believed that this ritual gives you as many blessings as you get by performing an Ashvamedh Yajna. Brahma Sarovar also hosts Geeta Jayanti celebration every year, which is usually a seven days festival, to celebrate the birth of Bhagavad Geeta. Dance performances, dramas, competitions, social campaigns, exhibitions, sacred ceremonies, etc. are organized throughout the week. Artisans from entire country visit and put their stalls around the pond. This place is too colourful and lively during the festival that people visit multiple times to see various performances, shop handicrafts and eat cuisines from various states.
