Cosy stays: world’s smallest hotels that score big on uniqueness
While planning a trip, the tough battle that we often face is choosing the accommodation. There is so much to consider, while some might need a hotel that caters well to children, while some will focus on a luxurious suite, or might go for a small modest room. Well, if you are an experimental type, we have got you covered here. Here, we take you to some of the world’s smallest hotels that score big on uniqueness.
Live a Litte Chaat, Georgia
This mountainside property features four tiny houses that are all under 300 sqft. Elegant, inside and out, these houses are located on a hill at the foot of Lookout Mountain just outside the city of Chattanooga, Tennessee. All four houses are adorable, but the best pick should be the Alpha, which sleeps three, has a chef’s kitchen, jacuzzi tub, and fold down outdoor deck.
Fireside Resort, Wyoming
Fireside features 25 tiny homes on-site, which are available in three styles that can accommodate between two and six people. The 400 sqft Wedge, comes with a fireplace, private outdoor fire pit, and Tempur-Pedic mattress. As for entertainment, the location of the resort is in itself very interesting. Situated less than 10 miles to Jackson Hole Ski Resort, and 65 miles from Yellowstone National Park, guests will have endless options to explore when here.
Tiny House Siesta, Florida
Opened in February 2017 with 11 tiny houses, Tiny House Siesta now has 14 houses, each of which is different from the other, and is painted in bright yellows and blues to match its Florida location. Further, the quirky, beachy vibe throughout, enhanced with the decor that includes model boats, polished surfboards, and sand dollars, is a sight to behold. Each unit is pet-friendly, and features a side sitting area and a small front porch.
Hotel Punta Grande, Spain
The Hotel Punta Grande is grand in its own little unique way. It’s situated on a small rocky outcrop, which was formed due to eruptions from volcanoes in the Canaries in El Hierro, Spain. Although it’s not one of Spain's busiest hotels, it is definitely a property to check out when in Spain. With a total of four bedrooms, each room has been decorated with items from shipwrecks in the area, and makes for a unique stay.
Capsule by Container, Malaysia
When you’re travelling, you are more than often surrounded by strangers. And if you like such a vibe, this capsule hotel should be the best pick for you. The Capsule by Container hotel in Malaysia is not apt for those for whom privacy is the primary concern. These compact sleeping chambers have been smartly designed for backpackers on the go and transit travellers, who can rent out the pods for even six to twelve hours
A Volkswagen Beetle, Jordan
This one is not actually a building at all. It’s a Volkswagen Beetle. The interior of the redecorated Beetle has been stripped off to form a tiny hotel, which let two guests sleep. This unique hotel can be found in the middle of the desert in Jordan, while the owner, Mohammed al Malaheem will take you around to show guests how beautiful the region can be. He and his family make breakfast, whereas there is even a lobby in a nearby cave for guests to relax.
Book and Bed, Japan
Have you ever been fascinated with the idea of staying in a capsule hotel? If yes, you should definitely book a stay in Japan’s Book And Bed. This spot will be a haven for book lovers, who can curl up with their favourite books in the most literal way; they can climb into a teeny bunk right there in the library, and opt to sleep among the bookshelves. And the smell of old books and plain wood will create an ambience which you won’t find anywhere else.
Tubohotel, Mexico
If given an option, will you choose to stay in the sewer pipe? Well, Tubohotel has built its rooms on this concept, and you will not regret paying money to stay in such a room. This hotel invites guests to sleep in their repurposed sewer pipes, and takes the concept of quirky hotels to the next level. The rooms are harsh-looking tubes of concrete, which has space for a bed and lamp, and are placed in a lush courtyard that offers guests an unforgettable experience.
