More than just a place for surprisingly cheap eats, Indian Coffee House is an icon. Included in the Time magazine’s list of “25 Authentic Asian Experiences”, it’s one of those places that attract everyone from the hip college crowd to city seniors, who’ve witnessed the changing times of Delhi. As for the food, it has everything from plain, old bread and jam slices, vegetable biryani, some really fluffy dosas and the best of filter coffee. While South Indian rules the roost at the Indian Coffee House, nothing on the menu is worth skipping. The best part about this place—an entire meal, complete with beverages and desserts, might not cost you more than INR 100! Reach early in the evening to get a seat on its terrace. Read less
