World’s most unusual and uniquely-themed cafes to visit
Themed cafes have become popular and trending hangout places these days. With time, many cafes have been set up with themes, such as café cafes, vampire cafes, and themes that are in line with nature. If you are interested in visiting such themed cafes, here is the list of the best ones.
Cat Cafes
The Catsville Le Café in Hauz Khas, Delhi, or Crumbs and Whiskers in Washington DC are some of the many examples of cat cafés. Keeping cats’ well-being in mind, these cafés display rules and regulations, while also ensuring each individual’s health and hygiene too. Customers visit these cafes with their cats, where their furry buddy can play, or one can also learn about them with learning materials available there.
Vampire Café
Located in the luxury shopping district of Ginza, this café manages to live up to high expectations. The floor features a pattern of giant red blood cells, while red curtains hang from the ceiling, thereby separating groups of diners by enclosing them in booths. When you book your menus here, you will be amazed to see them offered to you in a shape of coffins. There’s also a coffin in the middle of the restaurant, candles, and mirrors smeared with blood.
Mermaid Island café
If you have been a fan of mermaids, you need to visit this café in Pathum Thani, Thailand. Here, all visitors are offered a mermaid tail to wear upon arrival into the aquatic-themed restaurant. Further, the food here is also very bright and colourful. You can order mermaid tail cups, rainbow waffles, and colour drinks, and get a chance to fulfil your dreams of being a mermaid.
Cabbages and Condoms café
Built to make a difference, the idea and name of the café might sound strange at first. However, as per the restaurant, its goal is not to make first dates awkward, or put families in awkward positions with what one might consider inappropriate decor. This restaurant was primarily created with the hope of promoting better understanding of family planning. Besides promoting sexual education, it also supports AIDS prevention groups, and other such non-profit organisations.
The Owl Café
You can find this café in Abu Dhabi, and you can also spend some time with majestic owls here. The cafe has trainers, who are trained to make sure the owls are taken care of, are healthy, and are tamed. And since the owls are trained, they love to socialise, and even love hanging with visitors!
