The Sassy Spoon is one restaurant that every epicure in the city raves about. Not only is the food outstanding, the restaurant really stands out for its colourful and quirky décor. Pinks and olives dominate and the desserts are as popular as the mains. Primarily Continental, European and Mediterranean, the menu at The Sassy Spoon is extensive. Some of the most ordered dishes include brown rice paella with vegetables and beans, grilled chicken and red velvet cake. The vintage suitcases on the walls give this restaurant a kitschy feel, as do the hanging lights and high ceiling. The restaurant is a good choice for a romantic date as well, and ending your meal with their legendary sticky toffee pudding or seven layered chocolate and hazelnut mousse would be a good idea. Patrons also wax eloquent about the wine list and beverages which include classics such as martinis and margaritas as well as creative coolers like berry sangria and very berry khatta. The best part is the complimentary warm brownies that are served with your bill.
