Bun tikki is another popular street food of Uttarakhand and people swear by it! Dehradun is dotted with a number of stalls selling bun tikki. These crispy buns are served hot with chatni, curd and onions in two slices.
Momos
For a momo lover, Uttarakhand is a paradise. Almost every lane in the state is dotted with a momo restaurant. Super steaming and spicy, Uttarakhand serves the best chilli momos. Kalsang in Dehradun is quite popular for dishing out the most delicious and unique momos in the state.
Aloo ke Gutke
Another most popular street food in Uttarakhand is aloo ke gutke. These spicyy and piping hot potato starters are available at a very nominal cost and make for a perfect breakfast. These crispy potato wedges are spiced up with authentic Garhwali ingredients like jakhiya and red chillies and served hot.
Kumaoni Dal Vada
These are simply delicious! Kumaoni dal vadas are always in demand and are available on the street stalls. The Kumaoni dal is mixed with herbs and spices and then golden brown and crispy fritters are made which have a high nutrient value. These are served hot with green chutney.
Butter toffees
These butter toffees are quite popular on the streets of Uttarakhand and are a delight for those with a sweet tooth. There are several stores and English bakeries in Uttarakhand which are famous for making these toffees.
