Consistently rated one of the finest restaurants in Kyoto, Arash’s Kitchen whips up sumptuous Persian, Turkish and Indian fare and the flavours it packs might just remind you of home. Located in Sakyo-ku ward, this place is deal for all those travellers who’ve gotten a little tired of gorging on Japanese food and all the formality associated with the same. Named after the owner, Arash, who is a gracious host with the best recommendations, the eatery dishes out some finger licking good kebabs, hummus and a comforting helping of lamb stew among other fares. The portions are quite huge and vegetarian options are in plenty. Expect to be transported to the sands of Middle East and the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean right after you take your first bite.
