Dubronvik’s weather ensures that most of its nightlife unravels in the great outdoors. No wonder, there are entire streets lined with bars which resemble one giant party at night. The most popular of these is Bourbon Street. This is where both locals and tourists come to unwind. There are tens of dozens of bars in Bourbon Street. But Roxy is one of the oldest and most popular ones. Roxy Bar gained its fame as a hangout for musicians and people who love listening to good music. For years it was considered purely a music venue—this might be why letters from the members of the Beatles still adorn its walls. However, in recent years Roxy has metamorphosed into more of a traditional bar. There is still tons of music-related memorabilia on the walls. There’s even a jukebox for old time’s sake. But that’s about it. Visitors come here to drink and have a good time with friends. Roxy Bar is quite laid back during evenings but the music becomes louder past midnight. Roxy is one of the few bars in Dubrovnik that stay open till late. It usually shuts down at 4 am.
