There are several bird sanctuaries In India, where you can see these migratory and resident birds. These designated wildlife areas offer a safe home for these birds, away from the disturbances of busy towns and cities. A trip to these sanctuaries leaves us refreshed and ready for more birding expeditions!
Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, Rajasthan
Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is one of the prime bird sanctuaries in India. There are more than 370 species of migratory and resident birds recorded at this bird sanctuary.
Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, Karnataka
Ranganathittu is located near Mysore, and is a perfect destination for a quick day trip. This bird sanctuary is perfect for those who need some quiet time in nature. If you are coming from Bengaluru, stay in Mysuru or Srirangapatna (3 km). Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary is located on the banks of Cauvery river.
Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary, Haryana

Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, Kerala
