This adorable little town was home to one of literature's greats, Shakespeare. Trains leave at short intervals from Marylebone Station, and although the journey is just over two hours, this is a must-do especially for those who appreciate Shakespeare's work. Make sure you catch one of his plays performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company while you’re there.
