Senado Square

They say—if you haven't been to Senado Square, you haven't been to Macau! The square has been named after Leal Senado building and has been the city’s urban centre for decades. At a walking distance from the Ruins of St. Paul's, the square is a lovely place to relax, maybe have a cup of coffee or an ice cream, and take photographs. It is also a shopping and eating hub with numerous shops in the bylanes selling souvenirs, clothes, cosmetics and food items, among a number of other things. As one walks down the lanes of the square that is paved with Portuguese cobblestones and surrounded by neo-classical structures, one gets a feeling of roaming in a European destination. One also gets to witness an amalgamation of Chinese and Portuguese cultural traits. All of these put together make the whole experience joyous and memorable.
