Margao is conspicuous by the number of fountains it sports and a feature that can make it earn the title of a 'city of fountains'. From the lotus fountain in the Municipal Gardens and a few colorful ones in the adjacent Aga Khan Children's Park to a large one in Ravindra Bhavan, the venue for IFFI. This city's tryst with fountains started with the development of its natural springs into the Ana Fonte Garden, opened to visitors in the year 2005.
