As per reports, 2019 is going to see Mumbai airport repairs and this might cause some degrees of inconvenience for those flying to and from Mumbai. Fliers who are scheduled to fly to and from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), Mumbai, between February 16 and April 3, 2019, will probably face delays.
According to reports from Airports Authority of India (AAI), the airport could be shut for six hours on Tuesdays, Thursday, and Saturdays, from 11 am to 5 pm. It is being said that flights on these days and on the specified time would be cancelled until the work is completed.
A senior officer from AAI has also confirmed the reports, but also said that NOTAM (a notice filed to intimate pilots about the changes) is yet to be issued.
This year CSMIA, Mumbai, had also upgraded its landing system, and with the changes next year, it will go an inch forward in safety and convenience for its passengers. The Mumbai airport repairs in 2019 could cause certain inconvenience to the passengers, so you should enquire and make your plans accordingly.
