Most of us like our hotel stays to be private, and why not, it is only logical. But this hotel in Japan is now attempting to change that through a novel idea. You can stay in this hotel for a fare as low as 100 Yen, which is basically $ 0.92 (INR 66), if you live stream your stay on this hotel’s YouTube channel for 24 hours.
The hotel is located in Fukuoka, Japan, and this deal is available only in room number 8, throughout the year. It is a standard Japanese room with tatami floor, meaning that it has a mat on the floor that is common in the country. The room also has a foldable sleeping mat, a small coffee table, a television, and a kettle.
The room also has something that we don’t usually see in hotel rooms (and if we do, raise an alarm!), and that is a camera pointing to the middle of the room. The camera is actually of a tablet that faces the room and records all day, and there are no blind spots. So, you are all set to live-stream your day to the entire world, but the bathroom is off-limits, so that is one place that does not have a camera. The live-stream is also video only, so your audio is not going to be live-streamed. This gives you the privacy to make calls, and have conversations. Nudity is strictly prohibited at during live-streaming.
We don’t know how well this is going to work, but, as of now, it seems like a good deal for anyone who would like to travel to Fukuoka and stay for a few days without burning a hole in your pocket.
