Very soon, there might be direct flights between Kathmandu and Dehradun. An official from the Nepalese delegation, who was in Dehradun recently, met representatives of the Uttarakhand Tourism Department to discuss this plan and also explore tourism and adventure sports activities in India and Nepal. Officials of both the countries met at the Himalayan Tourism Samman Awards, which was organised by the Uttarakhand Tourism Department and PHD Chamber of Commerce. Both the parties discussed different ways to explore tourism opportunities and promoting it in Dehradun and Nepal with the help of travel agents. Nepal Tourism Board Director Mani Raj Lamichhane led the Nepalese delegation, whereas the Indian side was headed by Uttarakhand Tourism Director Narendra Singh Quiriyal.
Earlier, Dehradun to Nepal bus service was flagged off after gaining all the approvals and permits. The service was started to facilitate travellers from both countries. Now, if things go as planned, your travel to Kathmandu will become all the more comfortable and hassle-free.
