This one, quite clear by the name, is a church in the attic of a canal house. It lies in the inner city of Amsterdam and is a precious gem from the Dutch era. The history of this Catholic church dates back to 1663. Even though it has been turned into a museum now, it still stands for its principles of freedom of religion and conscience. A mass is conducted every Sunday, starting at 11 Am. It is not just the marvelous church building that the visitors love seeing but also the rest of the house. More so with its alluring galleries and rooms that are interestingly furnished with paintings, sculptures and silver. This church-turned-museum is a fine reminder of Amsterdam's catholic past. Entry fee for adults is €10 and €5 for anyone between those between the age of 5 and 18. iAmsterdam card-holders are eligible for free entry. An audio tour is available in seven languages. The museum is open from Monday-Saturday between 10 AM to 5 PM and 1 PM to 5 PM on Sundays and all holidays.
