Nestled in the heart of India―Madhya Pradesh, Chanderi is surrounded by hills, lakes, forests and narrates tales of Bundela and Malwa dynasty. Its cultural diversity is evident through the years of influence of all religions―mainly Hindu, Muslim and Jain Dharma. Chanderi has had a long history right from its imprint in mythology scriptures to the history books that narrate about Gurjara-Pratihara dynasty establishment in the 8th century AD. In its princely era, Ram Shah Bundela played a key role in restoring the dilapidated structures and buildings. Post his death, his son Sangram Shah continued on his quest to beautify Chanderi.
