From hiking glaciers in Alaska to dining with Penguins in South Africa, their adventures and photographs have been featured on several TV stations and newspapers, including Discovery Channel and the Huffington Post. They are particularly in love with road trips and in the last year alone, they’ve driven over 20,000 miles in a dozen countries. They write about their experiences on www.bruisedpassports.com.

Imagine a bar where tourists can sunbathe, jump into the warm waters of the Adriatic for a dip, come back to have a drink, and while away the entire afternoon reading a book. This idyllic picture comes to life at Café Bar Bard. This is the perfect alternative to the much-hyped Buza Bar. Insofar as vantage points go, this watering hole has the best possible view ever! You can even see Lokrum Island on a clear day. Cafe Bar Bard is close to the Stradun and the entrance is through an enchanted archway. The bar is quite popular but you might have to ask around a bit to find it. Frankly we like it better than the neighbouring Buza Bar. The view is the same but the ambience is a lot more relaxed. It’s less crowded and drinks are just that bit nicer. In fact we’d even go so far as to say this is one of the most romantic bars in the world. It’s pretty special at sunset but stay after sunset—most tourists leave the premises once the moon comes up. But that’s when the surroundings are well and truly special. Love it!
