A popular trading hub, quite famous for its yak cheese and butter, Namche is positioned on an inclined arch-shaped mountain, which gives mesmerising view of majestic Himalayan peaks throughout the valley, day and night. Namche Bazaar not only serves as a prosperous market town to buy everything you want, but also is a popular stopover for the trekkers going towards Everest expedition and other peaks around the area. This little village-town is a dominated Sherpa trading centre that seems to have it all. From Tibetan artefacts, trekking gears, information centre besides pubs restaurants and hotels, Namche has everything. Once a capital of Khumbu, where Sherpas from neighbouring villages would gather to trade their traditional arts and crafts, Namche Bazaar, till date, hasn’t forgotten its ancient culture and royal hospitality. Namche is a popular tourist hub since it is a gateway to the Himalayas.
