Phuntsholing is the most urbanised town of the country Bhutan. It is considered as the financial, industrial and trading capital of the country. Phuntsholing separates Bhutan from India at the border and one can clearly notice the difference in culture, lifestyle and landscape while travelling through the road. Unless it is really important to halt for the night, you will be tempted to precede slightly further from this bustling town after clearing immigration. There are few sights and a monastery which can be explored along with a local market. This town is known as the gateway to Bhutan for trade with India.
