The trek will take you to the world’s highest Shiva temple situated in Tungnath at an elevation of 4000 m. The 5 km trek from Chopta till Tungnath temple is an easy trail, which passes through beautiful meadows. It is a 1.5 km steep climb thereafter to reach the summit of Chandrasheela. This summit will welcome a trekker with breathtaking 360 panoramic views of snow-covered Himalayan peaks. A splendid view of Himalayan peaks like Nanda Devi, Trishul, Kedar, Chaukhamba, and Bandarpunch is an added boon.
