Anita Rao Kashi is a freelance travel and food writer based in Bangalore. After nearly 12 years with The Times of India in Bangalore,she went freelance in Jan 2006 to write about travel and food. Located in a modern building in the centre of the city, Kunstmuseum is regarded as one of the most distinguished museums in Europe. With over 4000 works of art including sculptures, paintings, videos and installations as well as over 300,000 drawings and prints spanning more than half a dozen centuries, Kunstmuseum is a favourite with art connoisseurs. It is most famous for its collection of works by Flemish and Upper Rhine artists between 15th and 17th centuries as well as modern, contemporary works from the 19th century onwards. The museum has the world’s largest collection of Holbein. Other prominent artworks on display are by Witz, Grunewald, Bocklin, Monet, Pissarro, Van Gogh, Picasso, Paul Klee, Rothko, Kline and Andy Warhol, among others.
