Whether a child or an adult, it’s difficult not to become all mushy at the adorable Spielzeug Welten Museum, also known as the Dollhouse Museum. Tucked away in a corner near Barfüsserplatz on Steinenvorstadt, the four-storeyed museum is the largest of its kind in Europe. It boasts a collection of over 6000 toys including 2000 teddy bears. But more appealing and mesmerising are the dollhouse displays with different set-ups, such as kitchen, living room, bakery, hospital, butchery, office, railway station and so on. To break the monotony (if you can call it that!), each floor has a set of moving displays too, such as train sets. Also, entirely soppy are the cuddly teddy bears in various colours and outfits.
