This is the place to visit if you wish to see Tokyo from a different and a higher perspective. Inspired by the Eiffel Tower of Paris, the Tokyo Tower takes pride in being the world's tallest self-supporting steel tower. Built in 1958, the tower is one of the iconic landmarks of modern Tokyo and a not-to-be-missed attraction for anyone visiting Japan. The best time to visit the attraction is at night when it lights up in yellow and gold, and offers 360-degree-views of the city dazzling in shimmering hues and shades. Each observatory deck is priced different, but the 150 metre-high main observatory deck priced at 900 yen is good enough. Gaze at the incredible city skyline from the Tokyo Tower and capture spectacular views, whose beauty will stay you for a lifetime. If you’d like something more, the tower also houses an aquarium, a souvenir shop, restaurants and a wax museum—the only catch being that some of these demand their own entrance fee. If you are in no mood to burn a hole in your pocket and yet wish to enjoy panoramic views of the city, here’s a tip. Head over to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building in Shinjuku instead, its 202 metre-high observatory may not be the tallest but for all the views it offers, it’s still totally worth it!
