The government has started building basic infrastructure such as toilet block, wifi facility under the swadesh darshan Scheme of the central government.

Mangaluru Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Z Irani visited Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Temple on Tuesday and interacted with students on the role of youth in building a modern India. She also offered prayers at the temple and discussed the swadesh darshan Scheme, which provides integrated development of tourism circuits based on themebased tourist circuits. She advised students to reduce the use of mobile phones and stressed the importance of yoga in mental health treatment.

This year's budget also proposes a sum of Rs 900 crore for tourism infrastructure, Rs 92.60 crore for other support to infrastructure, Rs 412.87 crore for promotion and publicity (including market development assistance), and Rs 160.50 crore for training and skill development.
