Dr TMA Pai Chair for Indian Literature of Manipal University (Manipal), under the leadership of writer Vaidehi, organized a Yakshagana talamaddale programme ‘Kelu Kunthi Katheya’ (listen to the story of Kunthi) at Nutana Ravindra Mantap of MGM College here on Sunday.

Yakshagana is all set to go ‘political’ from ‘mythological’. In what is seen as a major shift from topics that this popular folk-art form in this part of the state usually dabbles with, Gayathri Yakshagana Mandali, Thirthahalli is all set to stage Narendra Vijaya at T V Raman Pai auditorium here on January 5.

PUNE: The Indian dairy industry has faced a severe shortage of exotic cattle breeds since the outbreak of the mad-cow disease in Europe in 1997. City-based BAIF Development Research Foundation's Rs 2 crore, state-of-the-art, embryo-transfer laboratory will go a long way towards tiding over the shortage.
