. Both can be seen embracing each other.
Twitter users are posting the image hailing Lord Ram.
TRUTHThe photo captures a Turkish Muslim couple and not a Muslim woman with a Hindu man.
VERIFICATION AND METHODOLOGYUsing reverse-image search, we found the same photo in a viral tweet dated October 6, 2020. The tweet had two more pictures of the same couple.
Running a reverse-image search on all of them led us to a popular Instagram account named ‘
KÜBRA BATUHAN’. This account had more images of the same couple, in which the woman can be seen in hijab.
The original photo was posted by this account on March 17, 2020.
Going through other posts in this account and using Google’s ‘Detect Language’ tool, we found that the text used by the account was in Trurkish language.
The account’s bio had a YouTube link, which took us to the couple's YouTube channel, where they mentioned their location as
Turkey
.
On further digging the Instagram handle, we located the individual Instagram profiles of the couple identified as Kubra and Batuhan Canpolat. Both seemed to be social media influencers.
