Pakistan are demanding reconstruction of the temple recently destroyed by bigots in
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
(KP) province.

’s photo in his hands.

The photo has been posted by many on Facebook with this claim.

It has also been shared on microblogging platform Twitter. The photo is being used to claim that there is no Hinduphobia in Pakistan.
It should be noted that a Hindu temple was recently demolished in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province by Muslims.
TRUTHThe photo is from July, 2020. It has got nothing to do with the recent temple demolition in KP province of Pakistan.
VERIFICATION AND METHODOLOGYUsing reverse-image search, we found several news reports from July, 2020 carrying the same photo.
A Deccan Herald
post dated July 9, 2020 had the same image in its report titled ‘Pakistan's religious affairs ministry seeks Islamic body's advice on construction of temple in Islamabad’.
The image is captioned as, “Demonstrators hold placards during a protest in Islamabad on July 8, 2020, as they demand the government to allow the construction of a Hindu temple in the Pakistan's capital.” It is credited to news agency AFP Photo.
The demonstration was held by some handful of Pakistan's civil society amidst growing protests against the construction of a Hindu temple in Islamabad by Muslims.
Times of India also reported about the demonstration in its post dated July 11, 2020. This report carried the same image which is now going viral with the false claim.
VERDICTTimes Fact Check has found that an old photo has resurfaced with false claims that Muslims in Pakistan are running a ‘Mandir Banao’ campaign for the Hindu temple demolished recently by men of their own community in KP province.
