Mani Sharma: Top Telugu musical hits of Melody Brahma

Mani Sharma is an accomplished music composer of South India. The success of the composer had a lot to do with his melody. This might be why he was hailed as ‘Melody Brahma’ by his fans. As a composer, he proved himself adept on large music platforms. He is a musician who can improvise lines and can also let his music speak for itself.

Kushi

Power star Pawan Kalyan’s seventh consecutive hit film, ‘Kushi’ had musical score by Mani Sharma. This was the first time they teamed up for a romantic action entertainer, which was a stupendous hit at the box office. Directed by SJ Surya, ‘Kushi’ was one of the top five hit films of 2000. The album had six songs, which became chart-busters especially, ‘Aaduvari Maatalaku Ardhale Verule’ and ‘Ammaye Sannaga’ that were penned by Pingali and Chandra Bose respectively.

Manasichi Choodu

Not many know that director Sukumar had worked as an AD for this film directed by R Suresh Varma. ‘Manasichi Choodu’ is an inspirational film, which tells the story of an unemployed youth who struggles to get a job. Finally, he is able to achieve his goals with the inspiration of his love interest. This film is all about falling in love and going after your dreams. Mani Sharma enhanced the fell of the film with his cheerful soundtracks. The song ‘Anthey Ee Prema Varusa’ went on to become everyone’s favourite.

Raja Kumarudu

Tollywood Prince Mahesh Babu’s debut ‘Raja Kumarudu’ was a sensational hit in 1999. Director K Raghavendra Rao was known to have a good music sense and this film was no exception. The film has an exceptional soundtrack and is one of the most talked about films in Tollywood even today. Upon its release, film buffs couldn’t stop raving about the film and music.

Ravoyi Chandamama

‘Ravoyi Chandamama’ is said to be the official Tollywood debut of former Miss World Aishwarya Rai, who appeared in a special song sequence in the film. The Akkineni Nagarjuna starrer failed to entertain the audience, but when it comes to its music, it has a special place in the hearts of the audience. The film has nine soundtracks and the song 'Swapnavenuvedo' was a major hit. It was impossible not to sing or hum along to the catchy tune. Anjala and ZhaveriKeerthi Reddy played the leading ladies in the film.

Subbu

This was Jr NTR’s third film, directed by Rudraraju Suresh Varma. The film had a good storyline and the music was considered as one of the highlights. Popular Tollywood music composers like MM Keeravani, RP Patnaik and Mano crooned songs in the film. Mani Sharma hit the right notes and won praise from the audience and critics alike and the songs 'Mastu Mastu' and 'Naa Kosame' were among the favourites that fans enjoy listening to even today.

Okkadu

‘Okkadu’ marked Mani Sharma’s 50th film. Directed by Gunasekhar, the film was produced by MS Raju under Sumanth Art Productions banner. As this would always be a landmark film in Mani Sharma’s career, he proved his versatility once again. He composed different tunes that won him accolades as its music director.
