Watch: Apple CEO Tim Cook shares a Vision Pro message from a Porsche event

German premium car maker Porsche recently unveiled its new all-electric Taycan Turbo GT. At this event, Apple CEO Tim Cook made a guest appearance in Porsche’s launch video with the company’s first-ever mixed reality headset Apple Vision Pro. Apart from the headset, multiple other Apple products made their cameos in the Porsche launch video. This includes iPhones for filming, the Apple Watch Ultra and Vision Pro.

How the Vision Pro is linked to Porsche cars

Porsche showcased its custom app for the Vision Pro in one of the cameos. This app features different camera feeds from the car, a detailed 3D model of the track and more.


Vice President Product Line Taycan Kevin Giek said: “Thanks to our custom race engineer cockpit app, it felt like I was right there in Laguna Seca. It has been great to bring the best of German engineering and Apple’s inspiring product innovations together.”

Tim Cook made a surprise experience to congratulate the Porsche team on the launch and explain the benefits of spatial computing.
