Google Photos isn’t just a place to back up your pictures — it’s also designed to make sharing memories seamless. One of its most powerful features is Partner Sharing, which allows you to automatically share your photo library (or selected parts of it) with a trusted person, such as a spouse, family member, or close friend. Instead of manually sending photos or albums, Partner Sharing ensures your chosen partner always has access to the images you want them to see. This feature is especially useful for families who want to keep a shared record of milestones, parents who want to instantly share pictures of their children, or couples who want their photo libraries to stay in sync. By setting it up once, you can create a continuous stream of shared memories without extra effort.
Share your photos with a partner
Important: Anything you do to your version of a shared photo won’t apply to any copies already saved by your partner. This includes any edits, deletions, or transfers to your Locked Folder.
When you share with your partner, they will receive the photos you’ve chosen to share as soon as they're backed up. Once your partner accepts your invitation for partner sharing, they can choose to use partner sharing to share their photos back with you.
