Apple WWDC 2026; key highlights of Tim Cook's 'last event' as CEO: Apple Intelligence and New Siri
It's wrap on WWDC 2026 keynote. And with this, Apple's biggest software event of 2026 -- World Wide Developers Conference 2026, starts. Apple kicked off WWDC 2026 with a keynote presentation from CEO Tim Cook at Apple Park. WWDC 2026 is Tim Cook's last as CEO, as John Ternus takes over the reins in September. Apple announced MacOS Golden Gate, refinements in Liquid Glass in iOS 27 and launched Siri AI -- powered by Google Gemini's underlying technology. Apple Intelligence will now allow to create and edit photos, Safari is getting new AI features and Apple says it is not launching Siri AI in EU and China as of now. The World Wide Developers Conference, which attracts thousands of developers from some 60 countries to Apple’s Silicon Valley headquarters, runs from June 8-12. Here are key highlights from the WWDC 2026 event.
