Lenovo launches IdeaPad Slim 5 laptop with AMD's Ryzen AI 300 Series processors in India

Lenovo launched the IdeaPad Slim 5 laptop series today, marking the first devices to feature AMD's new Ryzen AI 300 Series "Krackan Point" processors. Available in 14-inch and 16-inch models, these ultra-thin laptops promises advanced AI capabilities with high-performance computing in a lightweight design.


The new IdeaPad Slim 5 laptops are powered by up to AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processors, delivering 55 TOPS of AI processing power through the integration of Zen 5 cores, RDNA 3.5 graphics, and an enhanced XDNA 2 NPU. This processing architecture enables advanced AI workload management and real-time enhancements for various computing tasks.


Select configurations come pre-installed with Lenovo AI Now, an assistant powered by Meta's Llama 3 large language model that offers personalized digital interactions and can access information from users' personal knowledge bases. The laptops also feature Lenovo Learning Zone, an AI tool that can record lectures, convert them to text, summarize documents, and generate quizzes.


The 16-inch model boasts a 2.8K OLED display with 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy, while the 14-inch version features a WUXGA OLED display. Both offer a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 500 nits brightness. Built with military-grade durability, the laptops measure just 16.9mm thick and come in Luna Grey and Cosmic Blue color options.


Security features include Windows Hello Smart Login via an FHD IR Camera with Time-of-Flight sensor and a physical privacy shutter. The 60Whr battery provides all-day power, supplemented by Rapid Charge Boost technology.


Priced starting at INR 91,990 (approximately $1,100), the IdeaPad Slim 5 is available through Lenovo.com, Lenovo Exclusive Stores, major e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets across India.
