PlayStation India launches new Chroma collection and Fortnite controller
PlayStation India announced today the release of its new Chroma Collection peripherals and a Fortnite Limited Edition DualSense wireless controller, available through participating retailers starting November 7, 2024.
The Chroma Collection features iridescent colour options for both the DualSense wireless controller and PS5 slim console covers. The DualSense controllers in Chroma Indigo and Chroma Pearl variants are priced at Rs 6,849, while matching PS5 slim console covers will retail for Rs 5,569.
These new accessories showcase colour-shifting properties that create different visual effects when viewed from various angles. The collection's design emphasises premium aesthetics while maintaining the DualSense controller's core functionality.
The launch in India follows the global announcement of the Chroma Collection during Sony's recent State of Play event. The worldwide release features three colorways, including Chroma Teal, though this variant won't be available until January 2025 in select markets.
Sony's design team, including Leo Cardoso and Satoshi Aoyagi, focused on refining every element of the DualSense controller to complement the iridescent transitions. The Chroma Indigo variant particularly incorporates popular colour combinations based on user feedback.
Additionally, a special Fortnite Limited Edition DualSense controller will be available at Rs 7,490.
This release adds to PlayStation's growing lineup of customization options for the PS5 slim model, which launched earlier this year. The new accessories will be available through Sony's traditional retail channels across India.
