Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to go into mass production in July
NEW DELHI: Samsung’s upcoming flagship phablet Galaxy Note 7 has been the part of tech grapevine for months now. Now the latest rumours suggest that the phablet will go into production in the month of July. According to a new report in ET News Korea, the phablet will enter mass production next month.
Estimates suggest shipments to touch 5 million by the end of September, with 2.5 million estimated for the months of August and September .
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is rumoured to pack 6GB RAM and might come along side an Edge variant. Both the variants are expected to include Samsung's new 10nm LPDDR4 6GB RAM module, which was revealed last month. A 4000mAh battery is also rumoured, which is 1000mAh more than the battery of the last year’s Galaxy Note 5.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is speculated to sport a 5.8-inch QHD display, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 32GB of in-built storage with an option to support microSD cards, and a 12MP rear camera with dualpixel tech. The handset is also expected be water resistant.
Recently, a fresh report also suggested that the smartphone might feature an iris sensor. The new feature was leaked through beta software meant for the device. It is also mentioned that Korean manufacturer Patron has reportedly won the bid to supply iris sensors for the upcoming Note flagship.
There is no official confirmation from Samsung's end regarding this.
